Dear Student, Rockville HIgh School requires that a student reads two selections during the summer. Included you will find recommended titles listed by grade level. You may make your selections from this list or you may find your own titles. If you are an honors level student in grades 9 through 12, please make sure to make note of the required selection to be announced in this year’s English class. For each selection that you read, please keep a log of the following information: 1. Title 2. Author 3. Publication: Publisher’s name, City of Publication and Date of Publication 4. Content Summary (If you read fiction, inlcude setting and main characters.) See back cover for format. A modification of the assignment will be made if you enroll in the last few days before school begins. Reading, however, is still required. (Guideline: ten pages per day after enrolling.)
